Volleybal sweeps 2 matches vs. Big 8 Opponents

Solano finished the day off 2-0 with a Win over Santa Rosa College and Sacramento City College.

Santa  Rosa we beat in three sets: 25-17, 25-15, 25-23

Aliyah Aguiar led the offense with 10 kills

Vanessa Semien added 9 kills, 9 digs and serving 14-15 with an ace

Jada Cuffie added 7 kills and 3 blocks

AJ Projillo led the defense with 20 digs, serving 13-13

Giana Guintu added 9 digs, served 10-10 with 2 aces

Vanya Paopao had 18 assist, 14 digs, serving 12-12 with 2 aces

Breanna Davis chipped in 12 digs, 11 assist and 5 kills

Trinity Tungasmita chipped in 5 kills 

Jacky Capili served 15-16 with an ace

This full match was probably the best I feel we have played with the consistency on both offense and defense.  We can certainly clean some things up, but it was a great battle and winning in three sets.

Great day and we are proud of the team to play both matches to only three sets.  We will travel  next Wed. to College of San Mateo to play at 2pm & 4pm vs both San Mateo and Cabrillo.
