Oakland, Calif. - A trio of freshmen Solano women's soccer players netted a pair of goals each as the Falcons earned their fourth straight win in a 8-1 contest at Merritt on Tuesday afternoon.
Nayeli Barajas, Megan Borges, and Keana Flynn led the team with Borges leading off the scoring in the second minute off of an assist by sophomore Grace Lee. Flynn followed up shortly after in the fourth minute off a feed from freshman Jordyn Bennett. Lee and Flynn also both counted a pair of assists each.
Sophomore Kirstyn Gottschall played all 90 minutes in the goal for the Falcons, earning a pair of saves.
Solano (6-5-2, 5-1) has a break after Friday's match against Marin has been canceled. The team will head to Mendocino next on Tuesday, Oct. 22 for a 4 p.m. start.
