Solano Sweeps Los Medanos in Dominant Home Victory

The Solano College women’s volleyball team continued its strong conference play with a commanding 3-0 sweep over Los Medanos on Wednesday night inside the Falcon Gym. The Falcons made quick work of the Mustangs, winning by scores of 25-6, 25-11, and 26-24.
Solano came out firing in the opening sets, overwhelming Los Medanos with sharp serving and balanced offense. The Falcons hit an impressive .636 in the second set and posted a .370 team hitting percentage overall.
Leading the way for Solano was Lilliana Mass, who hit an outstanding .556 with 12 kills on 18 swings. Kaylie Reyes added 11 kills and 18 assists for another strong all-around performance, while Giana Guintu tallied 7 kills, 20 assists, and a team-high 6 aces.
Aliyah Aguiar also shined, registering 9 kills and contributing 10.5 points, while Ashlee Conley and Kayla Caliboso combined for 6 kills on perfect hitting efficiency.
On defense, Makenzie Lovell anchored the back row with 11 digs, helping limit Los Medanos to a .000 hitting percentage for the match.
With the win, Solano improves its Bay Valley Conference record to 4-0 and continues its pursuit of a postseason berth. The Falcons will look to carry their momentum into their next match as they prepare to travel to Mendocino Friday.
