Falcons Sweep Santa Rosa in Dominant Home Victory
Fairfield, CA – September 12, 2025
The Solano women’s volleyball team put together one of its most complete performances of the season on Friday afternoon, sweeping Santa Rosa Junior College in straight sets (25-14, 25-19, 25-14) on their home court.
From the opening serve, the Falcons controlled the match with efficient hitting and balanced offense. Solano finished with an impressive .354 hitting percentage, totaling 35 kills while committing just seven errors across three sets.
Leading the way was Aliyah Aguiar, who tallied a match-high 13 kills on a sharp .444 hitting efficiency. Kaylie Reyes was equally effective, finishing with 12 kills, 14 digs, and one ace to post a strong all-around performance. Lilliana Mass added 8 kills and 3 service aces, while setter Giana Guintu orchestrated the offense with 30 assists and chipped in 2 aces and 10 digs.
The Falcons also made their presence felt from the service line, collecting 10 aces, led by Mass (3), Guintu (2), and libero Maui Asuncion (2). Defensively, Solano was anchored by Reyes and Guintu in the back row, while Kyra Ierome and Ashlee Conley contributed key blocks at the net.
Solano Battles Hard but Falls to Sacramento City in Three Sets

In their second match of the day, the Solano women’s volleyball team showed grit and determination but came up short against a strong Sacramento City squad, dropping a straight-set decision (20-25, 22-25, 18-25).
The Falcons started with fire, hitting an impressive .476 in the opening set behind the powerful play of Kaylie Reyes, who recorded a match-high 15 kills along with 16 digs for a double-double. Despite the offensive spark, Solano couldn’t overcome late runs from Sacramento City.
Setter Giana Guintu continued to steady the Falcons’ offense, dishing out 31 assists while adding 4 kills and an ace. Lilliana Mass provided additional firepower with 9 kills and a block, while Aliyah Aguiar chipped in 9 kills of her own.
From the back row, Jasmine Ting and Maui Asuncion anchored the defense, collecting 11 and 8 digs respectively, as Solano fought to keep rallies alive against Sacramento City’s relentless attack.
The match capped a busy day for Solano, who earlier earned a dominant sweep over Santa Rosa. The Falcons will look to build on the positives from both matches as they prepare to enter the heart of their season.
