Solano Shuts Out Woodland
October 24, 2025 – Woodland, CA
The Solano College women’s soccer team continued its strong form with a 1-0 road victory over Woodland Community College on Friday afternoon. The Falcons capitalized early and held steady defensively to secure the clean sheet.
Solano struck quickly in the opening minutes when Valerie Pacheco found the back of the net off an assist from Aaliyha Padilla, giving the Falcons a 1-0 advantage that held for the remainder of the match.
Defensively, Solano was sharp throughout the contest, limiting Woodland to no shots on goal. Goalkeeper Hannah Brackfield earned the shutout in 90 minutes of play, anchoring a disciplined back line led by Charlotte Seres and Gracie Manley.
Despite limited offensive opportunities in the second half, Solano maintained composure and controlled possession to close out the match.
With the win, Solano improves its conference record to 3-2 and continues to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
The Falcons return to action next week as they host Yuba College, their next Bay Valley Conference opponent.
