Fairfield, Calif. - Freshmen midfielders Lenaye Ringler and Paulina Rubio led the Falcons to an October-opening 2-0 win over Napa Valley on Friday afternoon.
Ringler scored the gamewinning goal in the 27th minute off an assist from freshman Ximena Rodriguez with Rubio adding an insurance goal in the 88th minute, unassisted.
Freshman Bailey Erbland played all 90 minutes in the goal for the Falcons.
Solano (3-5, 2-1) heads to Contra Costa next for a 4 p.m. contest on Tuesday, Oct. 5.
