Fremont, Calif. - Freshman Megan Borges counted a pair of goals as the Falcons captured their first win of the season in a three-score shutout at Ohlone on Tuesday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, Borges netted her first goal off a feed from sophomore Abrejiah Jordan in the 54th minute. Borges followed up with her second score in the 67th minute, assisted by sophomore Karla Cardinal.

Sophomore Isabella Kelly-Fondersmith added an insurance goal in the 86th minute unassisted.

In the goal, sophomore Kirstyn Gotschall added six more saves.

Solano (1-0-2) remains on the road, heading to Modesto on Friday, Sept. 6 for a 4 p.m. match.
