Fairfield, Calif. - Freshman Genesis Ernie-Hamilton and sophomore Cherika Rafan led all scorers as the Solano women's basketball team improved to 6-0 in Bay Valley Conference play with a 85-74 win over Merritt on Friday evening.
Ernie-Hamilton scored a game-high 24 points with four boards and three steals, while Rafan counted 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting, adding three assists and a pair of steals.
Sophomore Zaire Brown tallied a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds on 5-of-8 shooting from the field and 2-of-3 from beyond the arc.
Solano (11-7, 6-0) head to Laney next on Monday, Feb. 7 for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
