Modesto, Calif. - Despite a late surge, the Solano women's basketball team outlasted Modesto, 74-71, on Tuesday evening.
Modesto fought back to outscore Solano by 20 points in the second half, but the Falcons were able to hold on to capture the win behind sophomore Zaire Brown's 23 point, 10 rebound, and three steal effort. Freshman Jaslyn Woods added 15 points with eight assists and four steals, while freshmen Dominique Eaglin and Paige Peterson each chipping in nine points.
Solano (4-5) remains on the road, heading to Santa Rosa on Friday, Nov. 3 for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
