Bio
Ricky took over for Scott Parrish, as head coach in the Fall of 2026. Scott will remain on the staff as an assistant. coach.
Ricky Silva joined our coaching staff as assistant coach in 2017. He is also the Head Coach of DART-Solano. DART is a nationally recognized swim program that has produced swimmers at all competitive levels-including swimmers with Junior National/National times, NCAA qualifiers as well as a 2026 Olympian. Ricky oversees the Solano site of DART-which includes USA Swimming and USA Water polo teams.
Previously, Ricky coached at Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics and Santa Clara Swim Club. Both clubs are nationally recognized programs and have been ranked in the top 20 in USA Swimming. While coaching with these clubs, swimmers working directly with Ricky achieved USA Swimming top 10 times, Pacific Swimming records and Junior National and National qualifying times.
In addition to coaching, Ricky has been involved at the governance level within USA Swimming. This includes being the previous General Chair of Sierra Nevada Swimming, Pacific Swimming Age Group and Zone 1 North chair as well as other Board of Director positions.
Ricky is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton with a degree in communications.
