The Solano College swimming and diving teams delivered an impressive performance at the Hawk Invitational, competing against a large and competitive field of 24 teams on Friday.
Leading the way for the Falcons was Emma Wilhite, who turned in a standout swim in the women’s 200 butterfly. Wilhite placed fourth overall with a time of 2:35.2, finishing among the top competitors in one of the meet’s most demanding events.
On the men’s side, Luc Ferrer recorded a strong finish in the 100 individual medley, placing sixth with a time of 58.18. His performance highlighted Solano’s continued strength in versatile, multi-stroke events.
In diving, Mia Kling delivered an exceptional all-around showing against deep fields. Kling placed sixth in the 1-meter springboard competition, which featured 36 competitors, and followed it up with a fifth-place finish in the 3-meter event against 18 divers. Her results stood out as some of the top finishes of the meet for the Falcons.
Overall, the Hawk Invitational provided a valuable opportunity for Solano to compete against a wide range of programs while continuing to build momentum late in the season. With multiple top finishes and strong individual efforts, the Falcons demonstrated progress and competitiveness across both swimming and diving events.
Solano will look to carry that momentum forward as they prepare for upcoming conference championships.
