Falcons Fall in Non-Conference Doubleheader to Diablo Valley

Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano softball team fell to Diablo Valley in a non-conference doubleheader, 6-0 and 8-7, on Thursday afternoon.
At the plate, six different Falcons tallied a single in the first game, followed by 12 hits in game two. Freshmen Naiya Watts and Daniella Harper both recorded doubles and a pair of RBI each with Harper leading the team with a 3-for-4 performance.
In the circle in game one, freshman Maleah Martinez threw the complete game, allowing only three earned runs and striking out seven. Martinez was the pitcher of record in game two, allowing the go-ahead run in her two innings of relief.
Solano (11-19) continues non-conference play against Fresno and San Jose on the road next on Saturday, Apr. 9 beginning at 11 a.m.
