Fairfield, Calif. - The Solano softball team dropped a non-conference contest to San Joaquin Delta, 9-0, on Friday afternoon.
Freshman Avarie Mendez led the Falcons at the plate with the team's lone extra-hit performance, going 2-for-3.
Despite fanning nine, freshman Maleah Martinez was charged with the complete-game loss, allowing seven hits and only one earned run.
Solano (10-16) continues conference play, heading to Mendocino next on Monday, Apr. 4 for a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
