Rocklin, Calif. - The Solano softball team forced the contest at Sierra into extras, but fell 3-2 in the eighth inning on Thursday afternoon.
Freshman Kristy Regalado scored a pair of runs on her single in the final frame, scoring freshman Bianca Belo-Diaz and Alexis Certeza.
Freshman Maleah Martinez (0-4) was the pitcher of record, throwing a complete game with five hits, two earned runs, and four strikeouts.
Solano (0-8) hosts American River next on Tuesday, Feb. 22 in a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
