Fairfield, CA – In a standout month for Solano College basketball, Eric Lacy of the men’s team and Lucia Alexander from the women’s squad have been selected as Athletes of the Month for January 2026, recognizing their hard work, leadership, and impact on the court.

�� Eric Lacy – Men’s Basketball

Eric Lacy emerged as a bright spot for the Solano College men’s basketball team during a tough January campaign. Despite facing strong competition throughout the month, Lacy consistently pushed himself and his teammates, becoming a key contributor on both ends of the floor. His selection highlights:

• freshman Eric Lacy has earned the January Athlete of the Month for the Men's Basketball program. Eric has stepped up this month with 4 games averaging over 10 points, with 18 points against Yuba, LMC and Alameda. Congratulations Eric !!

�� Lucia Alexander – Women’s Basketball

On the women’s side, guard Lucia Alexander delivered a breakout January, showing why she’s one of the team’s most dynamic performers:

• Congratulations to Sophomore guard Lucia Alexander for earning the Athlete of the Month honors for January. Lucia has stepped up as a Sophomore leading in many ways. She was the 2nd leading scorer in January and lead in 3 point shooting for the Falcons, and top 5 in the BVC. Lucia averaged 15.8 points per game.
