The Falcons used timely hitting and a strong bullpen performance to pull away late and defeat Laney, 6–3, on Thursday afternoon.
Solano jumped on the board early with a run in the bottom of the first, then added single runs in the third and fourth to keep pace after Laney scored twice in the third and once in the fourth. The game remained tight until the seventh and eighth innings, when the Falcons broke through with three combined runs to secure the victory.
Offensive Leaders
Solano pounded out 12 hits on the day, highlighted by a balanced effort throughout the lineup.

Dylan Snider sparked the offense with a home run and finished 1-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Mason Sayre drove in two runs, including a sacrifice fly.

Teo Copp went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Bryce Alcantara added two hits and an RBI.

Dom Christensen doubled and drove in a run.

James Burgess and Michael Rivera each collected two hits, with Rivera also adding a double.

Javi Manila reached base four times with a hit and three walks while swiping a base.
The Falcons capitalized on key opportunities in the seventh and eighth innings, using disciplined at-bats and gap power to stretch their lead.
On the Mound
Solano’s pitching staff combined to limit Laney to just five hits.

Kai Koizumi started and worked four innings, allowing three runs (two earned) while striking out one.

Grant Genter (1-0) earned the win with three shutout innings, surrendering just one hit and keeping Laney off the scoreboard during a critical middle stretch.

Amari Bryant closed the door, tossing two perfect innings with three strikeouts to record his second save of the season.
Solano returns to action looking to build on the strong all-around performance and continue its climb in conference play. They will travel to Cabrillo College on Monday.
