Fairfield, CA — March 24, 2026
Solano College delivered a strong all-around performance Tuesday afternoon, defeating Contra Costa College 9-3 in conference action.
Solano (9-17, 4-3) tallied 11 hits and scored in six different innings, using early momentum and timely hitting to pull away from Contra Costa.
The Falcons struck first in the opening inning, and after Contra Costa briefly took the lead with a two-run second, Solano responded immediately. A run in the second inning tied the game before a decisive three-run third inning gave the Falcons a lead they would not relinquish.
Offensively, Solano was led by a trio of standout performances. Teo Copp paced the lineup, going 3-for-4 with a double, triple, two RBIs, and two runs scored. Mason Sayre matched that production, also collecting three hits including a triple while driving in two and scoring twice. Javi Manila added two hits and two runs, while Dylan Snider contributed a pair of hits and an RBI.
Solano’s ability to manufacture runs proved key, as they capitalized on productive outs, including two sacrifice bunts from Jace Parkinson and a sacrifice fly by Michael Rivera, who finished with two RBIs. Isaiah Pazmino also chipped in an RBI.
On the mound, Daniel Rios got the start for Solano, with Gabriel Navarrette providing relief as the Falcons limited Contra Costa to just five hits.
Solano extended its lead with single runs in the fifth and sixth before putting the game out of reach with a two-run seventh inning.
With the win, the Falcons continue to build momentum in conference play, showcasing depth in the lineup and situational execution as key factors in the victory. Next the Falcons will travel to Contra Costa Thursday for a 2pm first pitch.
