Solano Beach Volleyball Sends Three Pairs to Big 8 Championships
The Solano College beach volleyball team continues its standout 2026 season as three pairs have qualified for the highly competitive Big 8 Pairs Championships, set for Wednesday, April 22. Only 24 pairs across the conference advance to the championship event, marking a significant achievement for the Falcons.
Solano enters postseason play after finishing third in the Big 8 Conference (3 of 9 teams) with an impressive 11–5 conference record and 18–6 overall mark, solidifying its place among the region’s elite programs.
Leading the way for the Falcons is the No. 4-seeded duo of Kaylie Reyes and Giana Guintu. Competing primarily at the No. 1 position, the pair has compiled a strong 16–8 record against top competition throughout the season.
Breanna Davis and Alissa Projillo earned the No. 6 seed after an exceptional year at the No. 2 spot, where they posted a dominant 22–2 record, establishing themselves as one of the most consistent duos in the conference.
Rounding out Solano’s qualifiers is the tandem of Lilliana Mass and Kyra Ierome, who enter as the No. 17 seed. The pair showcased versatility and growth during the season, going 10–2 at the No. 4 position before moving up to the No. 3 spot and adding a 7–3 record against tougher competition.
At the conclusion of the Big 8 Championships, the top 13 pairs will advance to the Northern California Regional Championships, scheduled for May 1–2 at De Anza College.
The Falcons’ rise this season has been nothing short of remarkable. After finishing seventh in 2025 during the program’s inaugural year—Solano surged to a third-place finish in 2026 within one of the state’s toughest conferences. Good luck ladies.
