Solano Beach Volleyball Sweeps Marin and SIerra in Strong Road Performance
The Solano College beach volleyball team delivered an impressive performance on the road, defeating College of Marin 5–0 in dominant fashion. The Falcons showcased depth and resilience across all five courts, earning a clean sweep in the team victory.
The No. 1 pair of Guintu and Reyes battled through the most competitive match of the day. After dropping the opening set 21–19 to Marin’s Reher and Cruz, the Solano duo regrouped and fought back to take the second set 22–20 before closing the match with a decisive 15–9 win in the third.
At the No. 2 position, Davis and Projillo controlled their match from start to finish, defeating Butler and Bertolina in straight sets, 21–13 and 21–14. Their consistent serving and strong net play helped keep Marin from gaining momentum.
Solano continued its strong showing at the No. 3 spot where Cavelo and Ting dominated Caruso and Sigaran. The Falcon pair cruised to a convincing 21–15, 21–11 victory, using aggressive offense and steady defense to secure the point.
The Falcons were equally commanding at No. 4 as Mass and Ierome delivered one of the most decisive wins of the day. The pair overwhelmed Tuerros and Stull with a 21–10, 21–7 straight-set victory.
Rounding out the sweep at No. 5, Lovell and Caliboso demonstrated resilience after losing the opening set 21–18 to Dickson and Papineau. The Solano duo responded with strong play in the final two sets, winning 21–11 and 15–11 to complete the comeback.

Leading the way at the No. 1 position, Guintu and Reyes set the tone early with a commanding performance against Sierra’s Morgan and Brown. The Solano pair displayed excellent chemistry and offensive control, cruising to a 21–10, 21–9 victory.
At No. 2, Davis and Projillo delivered another solid performance, defeating Moeller and Seals in straight sets. The Falcons maintained steady pressure throughout the match to earn a 21–16, 21–15 win.
The No. 3 pair of Cavelo and Ting continued the Falcons’ momentum with a decisive 21–11, 21–14 victory over Parmenter and Cox. Their aggressive play at the net and consistent defense helped keep Sierra on the defensive throughout the match.
At the No. 4 spot, Mass and Ierome battled through a competitive first set before pulling away in the second. The Solano duo defeated Armstrong and Deladia 21–18, 21–10 to add another point to the Falcons’ total.
Closing out the sweep at No. 5, Lovell and Caliboso secured the final point with a 21–17, 21–13 win over Gunter and Richter. The pair maintained strong serving and communication to control the match from start to finish.
With the victory, Solano showcased its depth and consistency across the lineup, earning another clean sweep and building momentum as the season continues. The Falcons sit 3-1 in the Big 8 standings.
