FEBRUARY BEACH VOLLEYBALL ATHLETES OF THE MONTH

FAIRFIELD, CA – Solano College Athletics proudly names beach volleyball standouts Reyes and Guintu as the Falcons’ Athletes of the Month after a dominant run in March competition.

Competing primarily in the No. 1 and No. 2 flights, the duo posted a 7–2 overall record on the month, including a 5–1 mark in conference play. Of their seven wins, five came in straight sets, highlighting their ability to control matches from the opening serve.

February Highlights

Reyes

  • 7–2 overall record

  • 14 total sets won

  • 18 service aces

  • 22 total blocks (15 solo)

  • Hit over .300 in match play

Reyes set the tone at the net, using her length and timing to disrupt opposing offenses. Her aggressive serving created scoring runs, while her ability to finish rallies helped Solano secure momentum in key duals.

Guintu

  • 7–2 overall record

  • 30+ digs per match average

  • 92 total digs on the month

  • 85% serve-receive efficiency

  • 16 service aces

Guintu anchored the defense with elite court coverage and consistency in serve receive. Her passing allowed the pair to stay in system and execute offensively, particularly in high-pressure third sets.

The pair also earned two wins over regionally ranked opponents and clinched the decisive team point in three separate dual matches during the month.

Beyond their impressive numbers, Reyes and Guintu have demonstrated leadership, communication, and composure that reflect the standard of excellence at Solano College.
