San Jose, Calif. - Sophomore Isabella Kelly-Fondersmith scored late, but the Solano women's soccer team fell at Evergreen Valley, 3-1, on Friday afternoon.
Kelly-Fondersmith scored in the 70th minute to equalize the match after Evergreen Valley scored in the first half, but late back-to-back goals gave the Hawks the final edge despite 13 saves by sophomore goalie Kirstyn Gotschall.
Solano (1-4-2) opens Bay Valley Conference play at home against Mendocino on Friday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m.
