Pleasant Hill, Calif. - Sophomore Grace Lee counted the Solano women's soccer team's lone goal as the Falcons played to a 1-1 draw at Diablo Valley on Tuesday afternoon to open the 2019 season.
Lee scored in the 66th minute on an outside shot from 25 yards off an assist by freshman Keana Flynn to equalize the match after an early goal by Diablo Valley in the 26th minute.
Sophomore keeper Kirstyn Gotschall picked up where she left off in 2018, counting seven saves in the goal. Sophomore Brooke Molina and freshman Samarah Hendricks backed her up on defense.
The Falcons (0-0-1) host Cosumnes River next in their home opener on Friday, Aug. 30 at 4 p.m.
